**a little break from wedding photos***
We spent the weekend in Baton Rouge and New Orleans this weekend....We decided to drive back to Alexandria for work Monday morning at 6:00 a.m.......I fell asleep while John drove the 2 hours...Fifteen minutes before our arrival, I get woken up by John, there was a bassett hound on the interstate just wandering around.....We pulled over and called to him, he came to us, we touched him, then he ran straight to the car. Ok, this is not just a stray, if someone just decided to toss this dog, shame on them....We didn't know what to do with him, b/c as if you didn't know, we do have a dog that does not like other dogs...so we couldn't keep him...long story short, Chris and Michelle(brother and girlfriend)were coming to Alexandria from Baton Rouge to get the little guy.....He was just filthy dirty...who knows how long he had been out trying to survive on his own, poor little guy.....He came to the flower shop with me, and he got a bath and and was just a great dog....I just do not understand why he was just roaming around on the interstate like that....but he is in a great home now with a family that will just take great care of him....Here is Norman!!!

To everyone who attended the wedding, THANK YOU! To everyone who got lost on the way to the reception, WE'RE SORRY!

How crazy was this weekend? Too crazy. We can only hope everyone had a wonderful time at the reception, because we can barely remember it. What we do remember is how packed the church and reception hall were. The amount of friends and family that have shown up to celebrate the important moments of our lives never fails to bring tears to our eyes and smiles to our hearts. Thank you all again, and we apologize if we didn't get to spend much time with you this weekend. We'll be seeing you all soon and thanking you in person.

Yes Missy, those were shredded pig ears in the salad. I love that salad, have eaten it many times and had no idea. To all the kids who stuck their fingers in the chocolate fountain, shame on you! For everyone who Karaoked, you were great, especially the Dead or Alive crew. To the caterers, seriously bottle openers and ice would've made this wedding 10 times better!

Right now our apartment is a mess and Thuy and I still aren't functioning correctly due to exhaustion. So hold tight there are more pics to come!

ribbons for the wedding....

STEENS SYRUP TOWERS...
I'm about to drop some ABBEVILLE knowledge to yall...In 1958 there was a movie called "THE BLOB", aka, "The Glob", aka, "The Glob That Girdled the Globe", aka, The Meteorite Monster, aka, The Night of the Creeping Dead, aka, The Molten Meteorite, (I thought you'd remember!)..well, in 1987, it was remade in good ole ABBEVILLE, LOUISIANA...just for those who hasn't seen it, it is a MUST see. Kevin Dillon's career really took off, I mean, he's in Entourage now, he's got the Blob to thank for that. Shawnee Smith, come on, she's in all the "Saw" movies, oh yeah and she was the pregnant one on SUMMER SCHOOL with Mark Harmon.
Did you know that the rock salt was dyed purple to create the crystalized Blob for the ending of the movie? Also, all of the exteriors for the movie were shot in a small south Louisiana town called Abbeville. Abbeville is laid out almost exactly the same as Arbeville, Colorado, where the movie takes place. Abbeville was used because filming took place in late 1987 and Arbeville was covered in snow.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS...ITS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL!!!!!*****

The video below really has absolutely nothing to do with the wedding... Well other than the fact it features Neil (please see his intro post below) who is in the wedding.
With that said, sometimes you are shown something so amazing you have to share it with other people. What's below is one of those things. This is Neil's place of employment, and if by the end of the clip you aren't saying, "DAMN, I want to work there!" Well, then something is wrong with you.
Oh, and FYI we're thinking something similar would be perfect for the wedding reception. BE READY PEOPLE!
